Wednesday, April 16th, 2008: Stairs Hurt, out 2 Months
It took the Milwaukee team doctor a while to realize it, but left fielder Matt Stairs won't simply play through a strained anterior cruciate ligament after he got hurt running the bases in today's Cubs-Brewers game. At first, it looked like Stairs might be back as early as tomorrow, but now the prognosis isn't quite so good; he's expected to miss at least 2 months.

This season Stairs is hitting .444 with 12 hits, 2 home runs, 5 RBIs, scored 7 runs and played in 9 games.
Thursday, March 20th, 2008: Weeks Sidelined for 5 Weeks
Rickie Weeks of the Milwaukee Brewers could be headed for the disabled list after suffering a strained bicep muscle in a game against the San Francisco Giants. He is expected to miss at least 5 weeks. The Milwaukee second baseman was injured throwing the ball.

Wednesday, March 19th, 2008: Milwaukee Signs MR Capellan to 1-Year Extension
The Milwaukee Brewers have finalized a deal with All Star-caliber reliever Jose Capellan that will extend his stay in Milwaukee at least 1 year and will pay out $2,310,000.

Lifetime Capellan has chalked up a 7-and-2 record with 1 save and a 3.71 ERA.
