Samurai Ballpark was the site of an exciting ballgame between the Seattle Yaks and the Los Angeles Samurai.
Seattle rode a decent outing from starter Dave Vaque to victory over the Los Angeles Samurai at Samurai Ballpark. The final score was 4-3. Dave Barron got the save, his 16th in 20 chances.
Tied up with the Samurai in the top of the fourth inning, the Yaks got a boost from center fielder Josh Stafford. With the bases loaded, Stafford saw a 1-1 splitter from Adrian Gonzalez and hit a run-scoring single to break the stalemate and put Seattle on top, 1-0.
"I know we have our doubters," said Los Angeles manager Richard Clowers. "But I still have high hopes for this team."
The last-place Yaks lifted their record to 30-51.
