| Breaking News | | Monday, May 14th, 2007: SL2's #1 Player Named
His hard work and hustle paid off this week. The hard-working and hard-playing Martin Hatcher was rewarded with the Sub League 2 Player of the Week honors.
The scrappy Lavonia Sidearms catcher hit .619 while collecting 13 hits in 21 at-bats, 1 home run and 5 RBIs.
This year Hatcher is batting .317 with 2 home runs. He has scored 14 runs and driven in 22. |
| Sunday, April 29th, 2007: Suspensions Handed Out for Bench-Clearing Brawl
Yesterday at Sidearms Ballpark a spat between Tom Callahan of the Lavonia Sidearms and Joe Unknown of the Madison Volunteers ended with the both benches clearing as players rushed to protect their teammates.
Today, the incident ended with the league suspending both Callahan and Unknown for 2 games for their fight.
This season Callahan is batting .283 with no home runs. He has scored 11 runs and driven in 11.

This week's Sub League 2 Player of the Week is Delwyn Young of the Lavonia Sidearms.
He ambushed SL2 pitching for 14 hits in 26 at-bats, 1 home run and 4 RBIs, while hitting .538 and scoring 5 runs.
This season Young has hit 2 home runs and posted a .405 batting average.
