 | Tuesday, April 24th, 2007: Huber Gets 5 Hits If just anyone could go out and hit a baseball, big dollar contracts wouldn't exist. But they can't, so the good hitters get the big bucks. At Ballpark of Lake Monticello Justin Huber showed how it's done as he went 5 for 5 against the Fiskdale Pigeons. However this great day with the bat didn't pay off in a victory. The Lake Monticello Railcats fell 14-7. The manager of the Pigeons told the BNN sportswriters, "We made some bad pitches and he took advantage of it. That's the game of baseball. Don't make mistakes and you win a lot more ballgames. Luckily we came away with a win today. Huber just didn't get enough help." If Huber keeps hitting like this, he could be headed for a big pay raise. J. Huber singled in the 1st, hit an RBI double in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, singled in the 6th and singled in the 8th. Thus far in 2007 Huber is hitting .326 with no home runs, 8 RBIs, 13 runs scored and has compiled a .404 OBP. |
