Bad News For Silber and Columbus
Friday, June 8th, 2035
The Columbus Stampede received some bad news when the team's medical staff announced that Steve Silber would miss even more time than had previously been expected. Silber, who is currently out with a torn biceps, was evaluated by doctors yesterday and tests showed that the injury was not healing as quickly as they expected. Instead, the 28-year-old closer will have to spend another 3 months in treatment.
Currently Silber has 8 saves. In 13 relief appearances he has hurled 14.1 innings, struck out 7 and issued 5 walks with a 1-2 record. The Columbus reliever has recorded a 1.88 ERA and allowed the opposition to hit .184 when he is on the mound.
