Narrow Win Takes New York Streak to 7
|
The Milwaukee Oilmen got a superb performance from pitcher Landon Davis. Still, it wasn't enough to beat New York. The Panthers won the game, 3-2. In spite of the loss, Davis was named the player of the game. He threw 5 innings allowing 2 runs. John Ranum, summoned from the bullpen, notched his 1st save. New York, at 7-2, has sizzled in the early going.
One important at-bat came with runners on 1st and 2nd in the bottom of the sixth inning. Facing Milwaukee hurler Landon Davis, Matt Reep drew a walk. The Panthers went on to win.
"Piling up wins will eventually take us to the promised land," said Reep.
