Yaks Win, Hope to Turn Around Slow Start
|
Not everyone stuck through the 70-minute rain delay, but those who did went home happy.
A 4-RBI performance from the 30-year old left fielder Roy Ferguson helped the Seattle Yaks beat the Los Angeles Samurai, 8-1. Mitsuhiro Takeda finished to wrap up his 1st save.
The contest featured some late-game dramatics from Seattle right fielder Roy Ferguson. In the bottom of the eighth inning, with two out and the bases loaded, Ferguson hit a grand slam to help Seattle seize the win.
"It's a long season," said Ferguson. "We'll keep working to improve."
The Yaks, with just their 2nd win so far in 2035, have yet to catch fire.
