Lacey Leads Winkers to 7-1 Win over Samurai
|
Garland starter Logan Lacey put a stranglehold on the Los Angeles offense. The right-hander had complete command of his fastball in leading the Winkers to a 7-1 win. Los Angeles is in the throes of a 9-game losing streak.
Lacey, who has sometimes raised the ire of coaches and teammates with his famously lackadaisical work ethic, turned in a spirited effort. The hurler struck out 13 in 8 innings and gave up 1 earned run.
Lacey, who is tied for 2nd in the SL2 with a 10 quality starts, moves to 8-3 on the year with 104 strikeouts.
"I've been criticized for being a slacker, but the one thing I do care about is winning," Lacey told the Garland Daily.
