Panthers Drop Another One
|
The Phoenix Bakers turned back the New York Panthers, 7-6, at Bakers Ballpark. Victor Alvarado was named player of the game for his fine performance. He was 1-1 with 3 walks, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. Miles Neider, credited with the save, is now 1 for 2 in save opportunities. The first-place Bakers have won 4 consecutive games.
Antonio Diaz's at-bat in the bottom of the sixth inning was a big one for Phoenix. Coming to bat with two out, the bases loaded and Phoenix leading 4-3, the pinch hitter hit a run-scoring single.
"We'll take this win and move on," said Diaz.
