Samurai Deal Yaks 4-2 Setback
|
Los Angeles got a strong outing from Jose Jimenez as the Samurai defeated the Seattle Yaks, 4-2, at Ballpark of Seattle. Jimenez, the winner, moves to 2-3. He threw 8 innings of 4-hit ball, while fanning 3 and giving up 1 walk. Angel Pinedo, summoned from the bullpen, notched his 7th save.
Going deep for Los Angeles was Danny Aleman. The second baseman had a 3-run home run in the top of the first inning for the Samurai. It put his team ahead, 3-0, and sent them on to victory. For the game, Aleman went 2-5 with a home run and a double, while scoring 2 times and driving in 3.
"It was just a matter of executing," said Los Angeles manager Richard Clowers.
Los Angeles goes to 18-21, Seattle to 18-19.
