Stampede Suffer 6-5 Loss to Panthers
|
New York left fielder Zach Burkhalter picked up 4 ribbies while helping his team beat back the Columbus Stampede, 6-5. Matt Davison was the winning pitcher. Over 7 innings, he allowed 5 runs on 7 hits, with 2 walks and 8 strikeouts. The Panthers now have a record of 63-98.
Burkhalter had a consequential at-bat in the bottom of the fourth for the Panthers. Coming up with the bases loaded and New York trailing 1-0, he hit a grand slam.
"Nice to see our side come away with the win," Burkhalter said after the game.
