| Breaking News |  | Saturday, September 4th, 1875: Mutuals Chill Stanley's Hot Streak Mike Stanley's 35-game hitting streak has now come and gone. It was snapped today in the Atlantics 6-4 setback to the Mutuals. Stanley went without a hit in 4 trips to the plate. Talking to BNN after the game he was visibly upset. But the streak had little to do with it.
"I'm disappointed we lost, I'm not one bit disappointed that the streak ended," Stanley said. "The hitting streak was just one of those things where it was fun while it lasted, but I'm not going to lose any sleep tonight."
To date Stanley has chalked up a .360 average with no home runs, driven in 20 runs and scored 31 times. |  | Thursday, August 26th, 1875: Stanley Boosts Hit Streak to 35 Games It has been quite a while since somebody stopped Mike Stanley without a hit in a game.
