| Breaking News |  | Monday, September 3rd, 2007: Gray Sticks It to WH Pitchers A hot-hitting week got Ira Gray the Western Hemisphere Player of the Week trophy. He really wore out his welcome with league pitchers.
The Brazil center fielder slammed them for a .533 average, 16 hits in 30 at-bats, 2 home runs, 12 RBIs and scored 7 runs.
In the postgame press conference, Gray shared his hitting philosophy with the SION scribes: "Just look for the seams and hit between them...nothin' more than that."

I. Gray walked in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, hit an RBI double in the 6th, hit an RBI single in the 8th and hit an RBI double in the 9th.

During July the Brazil left fielder was outstanding with a .293 batting average, 6 home runs and 29 RBIs. Nakamura also had 3 walks and posted a .330 on-base percentage.
