Osim center fielder Seishiro Kaneko hit the cover off the ball all year long and today picked up the Eastern Hemisphere batting crown.
The 28-year-old Kaneko hit .342 with 41 home runs and 106 RBIs. He also delivered 179 hits, including 37 doubles and 3 triples, played in 145 games and scored 120 runs.

It appears to be only a rumor, but earlier today, fans around Japan were buzzing with the news that their 33-year old closer Rhys Lodder had been asking for a trade. "I couldn't imagine him saying bad things about Japan or wanting to leave." said one person.

After feeling sick for a few days, Gökhun Ece finally visited his doctor and the diagnosis was strep throat. This problem could keep him out of Japan's lineup for one week.
In 25 starts this year Ece has fashioned a 12-7 record and a 3.32 ERA.
