Liang-hsi Miao of the Beijing Imperials was certainly the King of the Hill today in the . He really did a number on the Hamburg Seedamonen -- and that number was zero -- the number of hits he gave up in his 3-0 shutout at Imperials Ballpark.
"I can't believe I got a no-hitter!" said an exuberant Miao after the game. "That is the last thing you think about when you go out to the mound. You just want to win the game. The toughest part was the last couple of innings. Everybody in the ballpark knows you have a no-hitter, including me. That was the hard part, keeping your focus and concentration while your heart is pounding."
Miao recorded 12 strikeouts and 3 walks in his sensational performance.
Looking at his season stats, Miao has won 16 and lost 3, collecting 187 strikeouts and 33 walks in 182.1 innings with a 1.73 ERA.

Augustus Schnerb had an answer for everything the Hamburg Seedamonen threw him today in the Nice 7-5 triumph at Fleurs Ballpark. He made good contact 5 times and 5 times he drilled the ball for a base hit.
The Nice first baseman went 5 for 5 in the game to put his name in the record book.
Summing up his batting philosophy to SION writers after the game, Schnerb said, "I just see the ball and I hit it."
A. Schnerb singled in the 1st, singled in the 2nd, hit an RBI single in the 4th, singled in the 6th and singled in the 8th.
Currently Schnerb is hitting .283 and has collected 5 home runs, 48 RBIs and scored 61 times, while playing in 101 games.

A masterful pitching performance carried the Hamburg Seedamonen to a 15-0 victory over Bursa. Charles Judkins held them scoreless in a complete game effort. He permitted 2 hits, had 13 strikeouts and allowed no walks.
The skipper of the Golge Kukla said, "Judkins was sharp. We never did figure him out."
Judkins has made 22 starts, tossed 140.1 innings, struck out 135 batters and walked 50. His record is 6-8 with a 3.33 ERA and he has limited other teams to a .223 batting average.
