 | Monday, June 4th, 2007: Hamburg Bats Silenced by Halil In an outstanding outing, Nesim Halil tamed Hamburg on a 3-hit shutout. The Bursa hurler went the distance, finishing with 5 strikeouts and 1 walk in the 8-0 win. "He had a lot of first pitch strikes and kept us off balance with a lot of off-speed stuff," according to the Hamburg manager. "We just didn't get too many balls squared up today." This year Halil has compiled a 2-5 mark with a 5.01 ERA in 7 starts. |
