 | Wednesday, August 15th, 2007: Specht Sizzles! Smokes Osim for 5 Hits! Tim Specht was unstoppable, but his club, the Die Nationalmannschaft, was not unbeatable. Despite his hitting heroics they lost to the Japan Osim 13-12. He battered them for 5 hits in 6 at-bats. His only consolation will be a rise in his batting average and a brief mention in the record book. Specht just shook his head after the game, saying to the SION reporters, "It's the team with the most runs that wins...not the most hits." T. Specht singled in the 2nd, hit an RBI single in the 3rd, struck out in the 5th, singled in the 6th, hit an RBI double in the 8th and singled in the 10th. Looking at his stats this year, Specht has compiled a .254 batting average, while hitting 7 home runs and driving in 33 runs. He has played in 78 games and scored 28 runs. |
